Evaluation, Procurement and Implementation of a Loan Management System

Business Requirement:

India’s leading NBFC wanted to upgrade from a legacy system to a new advanced loan management system.

Our Solution:

We worked will all stake holders representing different functions of the NBFC to prepare a detailed business requirement checklist and an RFP. This RFP was given to top three service providers. All responses were evaluated and the service providers were rated on the basis of their technical/functional expertise and commercial aspects. The best rated vendor was chosen for commercial negotiation that was guided by experts from ATS Services and helped the client to get an impressive deal.Once the deal was signed, we prepared a detailed implementation and migration plan for the system to go-live. A project team was constituted involving all stakeholders from the client’s side and ATS team provided expertise for customization of the system i.e. setting up the necessary functionality, managing the project management office for overall system implementation and data migration.
 

Challenge:

Identifying a system that would best fit the requirements of our client and then its implementation in a PAN India network of branches. This implementation had an increased complexity as existing loans were to be migrated from the legacy system to the new system.

Result:

The project was completed ahead of its schedule and the loan management system was launched across all branches. We placed our experts at three large branches to oversee system performance and facilitate resolution of the early teething issues.It was critical to watch the first month end operations and we flagged success when there were no issues reported by any of the users and all records reconciled properly.
